Many Harry Potter fans were probably happy to find out that Hogwarts Legacy would be released not only for PS5 and Xbox Series, but also for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. However, the versions of the last three consoles mentioned will take a little longer than the other two.
“Hogwarts Legacy will be released on April 4, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. The team is excited to bring the game to you and we want to deliver the best experience possible on all platforms” , appears in a publication on the official Twitter of Hogwarts Legacy.
In the case of PS5, Xbox Series and PC versions, Hogwarts Legacy will still be released on February 10th, as expected. In fact, early access players (those who purchased the Deluxe Edition) will be able to play 72 hours early, starting February 7, 2023. If you intend to buy Hogwarts Legacy on previous generation consoles, please be aware that there will be no early access. Regardless of the version purchased, PS4 and Xbox One players will only be able to play from April 4th. There’s no direct mention of the Switch as far as early access is concerned on the official website. Hogwarts Legacy is a single player open world action RPG set in the 19th century world of Harry Potter.
The promise is that players will experience as students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before. The story is set well before the start of the books, so don’t expect to see Harry or any other familiar characters beyond the ghosts of each house, which have already been confirmed in the trailers.
