The Real Housewives of New Jersey is an American reality TV series that premiered on May 12th in, 2009, on Bravo. It is the fourth season within the Real Housewives franchise. RHONJ chronicles the life of wealthy Italian-American women that reside within New Jersey and heavily revolves around their relationships with their families.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey was first made public when Bravo launched the 2008/2009 season on April 15th 2008. The show was announced later that the show would premiere in May 12th, 2009, including Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, Teresa Giudice, Dina Manzo, and Danielle Staub as the cast. The first time in the series, it was a show that was a follow-up of housewives who were close to one another. The sixth season premiered on July 13th 14th, 2014. The show included the return of Dina Manzo, who is a permanent cast member, as well as the addition of new members to the cast: Amber Marchese, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano. Wakile was relegated to a “friend of the housewives” role, and Laurita was a guest. Marchese, Aprea, Napolitano and Dina Manzo departed the show following six seasons.
